Playing with the the idea that to be “spiritual” is to be in my body.
The last 500 years of philosophical thought has slowly pulled us out of feeling our feelings and being deeply connected to everything into the disease of “the separation” of thoughts.
You know, René Descartes’ “I think, therefore I am”.
More and more, I like the idea that there are two worlds: the world of the dead which is lived inside of your head and the real world which is lived inside of your animal body.
“God is out there.” “Other people are out there.” “I am over here and separate.” This is the myth of “the separation” that, somehow, religion also promotes.
But, actually, God is in here. I am God. You are God.
There was a time, not very long ago, when you could get legally killed for saying that. You know, the truth.
Like the quantum physicist said, “there is no out there, out there.”
